Vegetable Crops

Vegetable crops flourish when soil health supports disease suppression and efficient nutrient cycling across frequent production cycles. Metagen’s biostimulant treatments are designed to:

· Suppress Soil-borne Diseases: Our biostimulants forge a living shield of beneficial bacteria and fungi around vegetable roots—outcompeting soil pathogens like Pythium and Fusarium for nutrients and secreting natural antifungal compounds to keep crops healthy through each production cycle.

· Enhance Nutrient Availability: By awakening native microbial populations, Digestor orchestrates an increase in nitrogen and phosphorus cycling of organic residues, providing a continuous nutrient feed that supports the rapid growth cycles unique to vegetable production.

· Improve Soil Structure: Microbial exudates act as natural glues, binding soil into a stable crumb structure, improving aeration and drainage to support fine root proliferation and reduce compaction under frequent irrigation.

· Drive Productivity and Resilience: The resulting balanced and active microbiome functions as a living safety net, buffering against environmental stresses and ensuring reliable yields from one crop to the next.

Application Methods for Vegetable Crops

Digestor:

Rate: 4–10 L/Ha

Method: Pre-planting: incorporate with cover crop, manure, or compost, or apply with pre-emergent herbicide. At planting: plant-hole drench, in-furrow application, drip or overhead irrigation, surface boom spray, liquid injection (minimum 25 L water), banded, mini-sprinklers, irrigation tape, or pivots.

Timing: 4 weeks prior to 2 weeks after planting, repeated every crop cycle.
